Remember the Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes saving the day? Well, in the movies coming out lately (Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, or MCU), it seems they’re taking a breather. Here’s what we know!
Avengers: Disassembled (for Now!)
Recent news from the upcoming “Captain America: Brave New World” movie shows Sam Wilson, the new Captain America, working solo. This tells us there’s no official Avengers team around right now.
Why the Breakup?
There could be a few reasons. Maybe after the huge battle in “Avengers: Endgame,” everyone’s just a bit tired! Fighting Thanos was a big deal, and heroes need time to rest and recover.
Another reason could be money. Remember how S.H.I.E.L.D. (the big spy agency) got wrecked a while back? Fixing all that damage might mean there’s less cash to fund a giant superhero team.
Where are the Heroes Then?
Even though the Avengers aren’t together, that doesn’t mean our favorite heroes are sitting on the couch. We’re still seeing them in movies and shows, but they’re working on their own adventures. Doctor Strange might be dealing with magical threats, while Ms. Marvel tackles problems in her neighborhood.
Captain America: New Leader, New Team?
There are hints that things might change. In “Captain America: Brave New World,” the new president (played by Harrison Ford!) asks Captain America to rebuild the Avengers. Maybe this movie will be the start of a new, different team!
What Does This Mean for Us Fans?
This is a big change, but it can also be exciting! We get to see more of our favorite heroes than ever before, following their own journeys. Plus, a new Avengers team could mean some fresh faces and new stories.
