The new relationship comes after the ‘Chrisley Knows Best’ alum called off his engagement to his ex-fiancée Emmy Medders in August. Chase Chrisley has a new love interest in his life and they’re taking the relationship one step at a time.
A representative for the reality star confirmed the new relationship with Jodi Laine Fournerat to People magazine. “It’s been a couple of months so it’s still early,” the rep said. “But they’re taking it slow and enjoying their time together.”
Jodi Laine Fournerat, who works as a New Orleans-based travel surgical technologist, made the relationship Instagram official on November 7th by posting a picture of herself and Chrisley embracing each other. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy is an understatement ♥︎.”
Chase Chrisley has not shared any posts about his newfound romance on his own social media accounts, though he did repost a mirror selfie of Fournerat wearing her surgical scrubs to his Instagram Stories after she tagged him in one of her own posts.
This revelation comes four months after Chrisley announced his split from Emmy Medders, his former fiancee. Their breakup happened less than a year after getting engaged, which took place shortly after reconciling following a temporary split. On his Instagram Story at the time, Chrisley wrote, “Everybody has been asking a lot of questions regarding Emmy and myself. We both and [sic] agreed to part ways and move on with our lives separately. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
A rep for Chrisley later informed People that he “has nothing but love and respect for Emmy and wishes her well. Unfortunately, things didn’t work and they are both moving on with their lives.”
During an appearance on his sister Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast in September, Chrisley discussed the challenges leading up to the breakup and what lies ahead. Despite admitting he learned many valuable lessons during this tumultuous period, not everything was smooth sailing throughout their relationship.
He stated, “Our entire relationship, it wasn’t all bad times. I mean, I’ve got a lot of sh– I’m dealing with, she’s got a lot of sh– she’s dealing with. She just chose to leave me while I was dealing with my sh–, but we mutually agreed to part ways.”
Now feeling “great” and “doing real good now”, Chrisley expressed gratitude towards God for guiding him through this difficult phase. “I’m definitely over the hump. It was rough there for a little while but I’m over it now. God hears conversations we don’t hear and sees things we don’t see. He moved her out of my life and I’m grateful for that because it clearly was not meant to be.”
With these recent developments, fans can look forward to seeing more updates about Chase Chrisley’s romantic journey as he navigates his new relationship with Jodi Laine Fournerat.
