Princess Kate, also known as Catherine, Princess of Wales, is still taking time to get better after surgery in January. But there’s some new news about her team! She recently hired a new assistant, a very important one, to help her with her royal work.
Taking a Break for Healing
In January, the Princess had a planned operation on her tummy. Thankfully, it went well, and she recovered in the hospital for a while before going home to rest. Doctors say she won’t be back to her full royal duties until after Easter.
Royal Duties on Hold
Being a royal means attending important events, meeting people, and supporting good causes. The Princess does a lot, but right now, she needs to focus on getting healthy again. This is why she won’t be at these events for a bit longer.
Introducing the New Right-Hand Person
Even though she’s resting, the Princess isn’t completely stopped. To help her get ready to return to her work, she hired a new private secretary. This person is like a super assistant who keeps things organized, schedules meetings, and helps with all the details of the Princess’s royal life.
The New Secretary: Lieutenant Colonel Tom White
The new assistant is named Lieutenant Colonel Tom White. He’s not your typical office worker! Before this, he worked for the Queen herself, right up until her passing in 2022. That means he has a lot of experience and knows the royal ropes. Some people even say he looks a bit like the famous tennis player Roger Federer!
Why Did Kate Need a New Assistant?
The Princess hasn’t had a private secretary for over a year. Her last assistant left for personal reasons in 2022. Having someone new to help manage things will be a big support for Kate as she gets back to her busy schedule.
What Will the New Assistant Do?
Lieutenant Colonel White will be there to help Kate with everything from planning her diary to writing speeches. He’ll also be the person who keeps her up-to-date on important issues and makes sure everything runs smoothly for her public appearances.
Looking Forward to Kate’s Return
While we wait to see the Princess back in action, it’s good to know she has a strong team behind her. With Lieutenant Colonel White by her side, Kate will be well-prepared to jump back into her royal duties when she’s fully recovered.
