Kawasaki Launches 2025 Ninja 500 in India: Rs. 5.29 Lakh, quick 44.77 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm

Kawasaki Motors India has today announced the launch of the much-awaited 2025 Ninja 500, adding to its impressive Ninja range in the Indian market. Priced at a showroom cost of Rs. 5.29 Lakh, the new Ninja 500 aims to fit between the popular Ninja 300 and the more powerful Ninja 650, offering a good mix of performance and ease of use for Indian riders.

The 2025 version of the Ninja 500 has a newly designed 451cc twin-cylinder engine that uses liquid to stay cool, producing a quick 44.77 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and a maximum pull of 42.6 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This engine works with a smooth 6-speed gearbox, which includes a clutch that helps with smoother gear changes and prevents the rear wheel from locking up during quick downshifts. The updated engine also meets the latest BS6 Phase 2 OBD2B emission rules.

While the overall sharp and sporty look that the Ninja family is known for stays mostly the same, the 2025 model year introduces a new Metallic Carbon Grey color with bright green details, replacing the previous Metallic Spark Black. This new color scheme gives the bike a fresh and modern look, making it noticeable on Indian roads.

The Ninja 500 still uses a lightweight steel frame, which provides easy handling and good stability. The suspension system includes regular front forks with 120mm of movement and a rear shock absorber with adjustable stiffness and 130mm of movement. For braking, it has single disc brakes on both the front (310mm) and rear (220mm) wheels, along with dual-channel ABS as a standard safety feature.

In terms of features, the 2025 Ninja 500 comes with two LED headlights, a fully digital LCD display with Bluetooth connection, and LED taillights. The display allows riders to connect their phones for notifications about calls and messages, making rides more convenient. The bike has a comfortable seat height of 785mm, a total weight of 171kg, and a fuel tank that holds 14 liters.

Introducing the Ninja 500 is a smart move by Kawasaki to meet the increasing demand for capable middleweight bikes in India. It will mainly compete with bikes like the Aprilia RS 457 and offers a more comfortable and grown-up riding experience compared to some of the smaller sportbikes in the market.

Bookings for the 2025 Kawasaki Ninja 500 are now open at all authorized Kawasaki dealerships in India. With its reasonable price and well-rounded features, the new Ninja 500 is expected to appeal to many riders looking for an exciting yet easy-to-handle sports bike.
