Calling all crewmates and imposters! Get ready for some hilarious space adventures because the hit game “Among Us” is blasting off into the world of animation. Here’s the exciting news: the show has scored a super cool cast to bring the characters to life with their voices!
What is Among Us?
If you haven’t played “Among Us” yet, it’s a super fun online game where you become part of a spaceship crew. The twist? There are imposters (pretenders) among you who are secretly trying to sabotage the ship and kill everyone else! The crewmates have to complete tasks, figure out who the imposters are, and vote to throw them off the ship before it’s too late. It’s a game of trust, teamwork, and a little bit of deduction (like being a detective!).
Who’s Who in the Animated Crew?
The upcoming “Among Us” cartoon series will feature some awesome actors lending their voices to the characters. Here’s a sneak peek at the crew:
Randall Park (Captain Red): You might know him from the funny show “Fresh Off the Boat” or the movie “Always Be My Maybe.” In “Among Us,” he’ll be the voice of Captain Red, the leader of the spaceship who probably tries a little too hard to be liked by everyone.
Yvette Nicole Brown (Orange): This talented actress from “Community” and “Avengers: Endgame” will be bringing Orange to life. Orange is in charge of Human Resources on the ship, which basically means she deals with all the crew’s problems and paperwork.
Elijah Wood (Green): Remember Frodo from “The Lord of the Rings”? Well, Elijah Wood is trading Middle-earth for outer space! He’ll be voicing Green, an intern on the spaceship who might not be getting paid (yikes!), but is still determined to help the crew.
Ashley Johnson (Purple): Fans of “The Last of Us” will recognize Ashley Johnson’s voice. In “Among Us,” she’ll be playing Purple, the head of security. Purple is all about keeping everyone safe, but don’t be fooled by that serious face – she might have a sarcastic side too!
What to Expect from the Show
We don’t have a release date yet for the “Among Us” animated series, but with such a great cast, it’s bound to be a fun watch. The show is being developed by CBS Studios and the game’s creator, Innersloth, so you know it will capture the spirit of the game we all love.
Imagine all the crazy situations the crew will find themselves in – imposters on the loose, hilarious tasks to complete, and those tense emergency meetings where everyone tries to figure out who to trust. There will definitely be laughs, scares, and maybe even a few betrayals along the way.
More Among Us Fun!
While we wait for the animated series to arrive, you can always jump back into the original “Among Us” game with your friends. It’s a great way to test your detective skills, have some laughs, and maybe even discover a hidden talent for accusing your friends of being imposters (just kidding… mostly).
So, buckle up, crewmates! The “Among Us” animated adventure is just getting started, and with this stellar cast on board, it’s a space journey you won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for more news about the show, and get ready to impost-er-vent some laughter (see what we did there?)!
